As Corporate Development Associate, the incumbent will collaborate and work with the Corporate Development team, reporting to the Lead Corporate Development. The candidate will be part of the Company’s business and corporate development initiatives. He/she will work on strategizing investment opportunities, scouting for fit-for-purpose acquisition targets, deal structuring and portfolio management. The candidate will identify and assist with strategic partnerships. He/she will assist and be responsible for updating and maintaining various reports and dashboards. He/she will assist and help manage RoundGlass’ marketplace interaction and investment relationships, which will, in turn, accelerate product initiatives and enhance the organizations partnerships. Deal sourcing, including managing key external relationships is a key component to this role.What you’ll do:
- He/she will assist with evaluating investment opportunities, including the preparation of investment memos, presenting investment opportunities to the corporate investment committee and the family office, industry research and, perform due diligence and build investment and financial models.
- He/she will initiate and assist with identifying and pursuing potential acquisition targets that fit RoundGlass’s strategic and business initiatives, help strategize and support partnership initiatives.
- The candidate will also work with other departments of RoundGlass, including Finance, Legal, Marketing and Operations in ensuring that acquisitions are integrated effectively into the organization, and lead the integration efforts.
- The candidate will work with the Corporate Development team in identifying potential partnerships, both strategic and business development oriented, assist with negotiations and discussions, and support the structuring of such partnerships
- Build a steady pipeline of new prospects after a thorough screening and analysis
- Restructure existing portfolio and advise best possible outcomes for existing investments in close consultation with the Finance team
- Put in place in-depth dashboards and trackers to monitor, compile and report as per agreed cadence
- Work closely with Lead, Finance and relevant BU Leaders to put in place business prudent deal structures and maintain highest standards of governance, compliance amp; controlsin RoundGlass and all investee companies
- Assist with establishing and monitoring early alert mechanisms to mitigate/eliminate risks associated with deal structuring, execution and monitoring
- Assist with due diligence and execution related process of new investments
- Handle analysis and monitoring of investee company performance, preparation of reports amp; marketing material
- Immediately share findings of all legal and other issues flagged through regular internal audit with Finance
- Take lead for all corrective actions required to proactively resolve/ close all findings from any GRC issues flagged
- Maintain standard compliance checks for financial and secretarial governance of portfolio companies
Who we’re looking for:
- 10+ years of transaction experience in Corporate Development or Mamp;A at a large Global Corporation or Investment Bank or investment/portfolio management at a VC Fund
- MBA or relevant graduate degree from top-tier institution or similar academic / professional experience
- Significant experience in executing all aspects of transactions including direct experience in Mamp;A negotiation, execution and integration
- Experience working in a demanding environment with highly motivated and driven professionals
- Ability to handle projects with multiple workstreams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of functional business problems
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
- Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities; ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior managers and external business partners
- Strong leadership skills with a team-oriented and collaborative approach to work
- Familiarity with tech and start-up environment preferred
