Job Description

11:11’s Assistant Manager of Human Resources will lead the design, implementation, communication, and administration of competitive benefit programs in India. In addition, this role has primary responsibility over the payroll function for the country. This role will provide subject matter expertise on employee benefit programs, payroll, processes, policies, compliance, vendors, and other related initiatives that enhance the organization’s ability to attract, retain and motivate a qualified, technology workforce. The role is also responsible for providing leadership, planning, project coordination, and management of HR operational activities and team members who process and manage the company’s payroll.

Payroll

  • Prepare applicable payroll inputs including, but not limited to, new joiner, CTC Details, FnF for Separated Cases, Deductions, earning, Salary Changes, Mediclaim data, etc.
  • Work on payroll drafts and variance analysis
  • Share final salary pay out details with Finance for processing.
  • Manage employee queries related to taxation, shift allowance, FEP, etc.
  • Coordinate with Finance, both internal and external, for all payroll-related queries of employees

Benefits:

  • Manage and administer employee benefits programs in India including medical, life insurance, accidental death, flexible spending, wellness.
  • Prepare analysis of survey results, ad-hoc benefit surveys, benefits-related statistics, and census data to summarize the information for management reporting and presentation of specific recommendations.
  • Coordinate with insurance team in settling medical insurance claims of employees.
  • Provide strategic recommendations regarding cost containment and increasing the return on investment in employee benefits given changes in the benefits market and organization demographics.
  • Monitor government regulations, legislation, and benefits trends and making recommendations to global Benefits team on necessary adjustments.
  • Prepare and maintain accuracy on all employee communications pertaining to benefits for current plans, enrollment, changes, and additional benefits.

Process Improvements

  • Recommend automated processes to reduce manual efforts and errors examples include Onboarding, Offboarding, Shift Allowance Tracking, Data Integration, Time Tracking, Employee Self Service, etc.
  • Review and recommend updates to HR Policies as per changes in the Labor Laws

Legal and Statutory Compliances:

  • Work with Legal and Compliance departments regarding related activities
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all compliance returns under different compliance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local legislations.
  • Lead statutory compliance audits internal and external, ISO, GT for overall HR and payroll operations.

Leadership

  • Supervise daily responsibilities for assigned team including assigning work and proper delegation of duties.
  • Counsel management and employees on existing benefits and HR processes
  • Ensure efficient onboarding of new hires including orientation to benefits programs, timekeeping, HR processes and benefits enrollment.
  • Ensure proper communication of benefit, payroll and other information for terminating employees.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A university degree in Human Resources or a related discipline is required.
  • 8-10+ years’ experience in human resource management functions
  • Payroll and Benefits administration experience a must.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of human resources practices and procedures
  • Naturally proactive and analytical with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work with meticulous attention to detail, juggling multiple projects and requests.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of ethical behavior, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Experience working independently and with little oversight.
