About the RoleAt Zeta, we believe that when it comes to SAAS products, the Product is only as good as its documentation. In that spirit, the SAAS product documentation is treated as a Product in itself produced by the Documentation team under the ownership of the Customer Success Organization. This product needs to be built using standard design principles of modularity, scalability, non-repetitiveness etc and with brilliant Information Architecture and high-quality grammar.What would you be doing here?
- As a Saas product, documentation of our product capabilities in the form of APIs, Events, Web Interfaces, Reports and Data Lakes needs to be supported with various Integration Guides, Admin and User Guides. These Guides help our Clients and their development teams to integrate with our Product seamlessly, and their Admin and Operations teams to manage and use our product.
- You will be responsible for leading a team who will build world-class documentation for our product which will make our Product self-serviceable for our Clients. This will require you to:-
- Develop a deep understanding of our Product which will help you communicate highly complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
- Work closely with the Product Managers and Solution Architects to ensure that the documentation is thorough and up-to-dateResearch various Saas documentation and arrive at a model and Information Architecture for various types of artefacts
- Setting up a team of content creators and publishers in India and the USDefine processes around keeping this documentation up to dateRecruit, train and build professional development plans for your team members
- Track and review the performance of the team on a consistent basis, conduct feedback sessions with team members
- Plan initiatives to empower the support team with documentation to transition them into a more solutioning function hence reducing dependency on Product Management or Solutioning teams
- Assist the Customer Support function in building their knowledge base Incorporating animation, graphs, illustrations, or photographs to increase users’ understanding of the material
- Measure the effectiveness of your team by defining and tracking KPIs around quality, depth and other areas. Publish these internally and externally. Your OKRs will revolve around these KPIsReview and improvise existing policies to scale up on existing quality standardsGather feedback on the documentation both from internal and external stakeholders
Who are we looking for?
- Engineer (preferably IT . Comp Sci)
- Overall experience of 12+ YearsExperience of 5+ years in hands-on Technical Content Writing for Enterprise Products
- Experience of 5+ years in leading a team of Technical Content WritersAdept at using standard authoring, publishing, and graphic tools
- Experience with open-source authoring and source code management using Markdown, restructured Text, Hugo, Git, and similar tools
