The Opportunity
We are looking for a seasoned communications strategy leader for the team that drives go-to-market strategy for our global business portfolio of certificate programs, bootcamps, and senior executive programs.Collaborating closely with our global business, product, and marketing teams, you will oversee program launches as well as reposition existing programs for optimal product-market fit.Role Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor the team that distills research and insights from our business, product, market research, and learning design teams to craft learner personas, value propositions, and positioning for our new programs.
  • Validate program curriculum, features, pricing, and messaging based on competitor analysis, market demand, and university positioning. Orchestrate the launch of new programs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Inspire the creative team to develop evocative messaging on landing pages, brochures, ads, emails, and other marketing collateral to ensure they resonate with the right audience.
  • Conduct training sessions for our team of program advisors to help them address customer pain points, potential objections, and competitive offerings, as well as communicate key program outcomes, benefits, and features.
  • Monitor the impact of our marketing and enrollment trends post launch, and drive recommendations that help ensure the right programs are finding the right audiences.
Skills Qualifications:
  • PG/Master’s in Communications from a leading communications school.
  • 12+ years of experience in strategic planning at leading marketing agencies, with at least 5 years of people management experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in higher education/EdTech is desirable but not mandatory. A broad portfolio of strategy development work across online industries is essential.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and rally cross-functional global teams around your strategic approach.
  • A collaborator who can partner with analysts, engineers, learning designers, and product managers to distill features and benefits into core product marketing messages.
  • A track record of delivering measurable marketing results, leveraging data and analytics.
  • Has a strong understanding of the creative performance differences between digital platforms.
  • Well-versed with the core concepts and variables that drive direct response advertising.
  • Familiarity with using industry-leading tools to research competitor creatives.
  • Passionate about creativity and education and its global impact.
  • Prior experience of working in a high-growth environment is desirable.
  • Flexibility working across multiple time zones is essential as we are a globally distributed team.
