Job Role:
- Planning, assessing, organising and delivering activities and creating customised learning experiences
- Facilitating the all-round development of all children, enabling them to reach their full potential
- Supporting the development of the children within the EYFS curriculum
- Meet prospective parents and handle all their queries related to the Centre.
- Key Person role for a group of children, actively communicating with team members
- Creating an inclusive environment for the staff, students and parents/carers
- Utilising a range and balance of planning, teaching, assessment (recording and reporting) strategies
- Planning children’s learning outcomes in the context of a coherent nursery-wide curriculum
- Monthly/weekly/daily learning outcome goals and implementation into daily classroom practise
- Using a variety of resources representing multiple perspectives and addressing the individual needs of children with different levels and types of ability
- Maintaining objective, accurate and up-to-date progress records for future planning
- Producing termly evaluation reports for designated key children and termly parents reports
- Each teacher is assigned a Key Person responsibility that aims at ensuring every child’s care is tailored to their individual needs; that the child becomes familiar with the Nursery setting and offers a settled relationship for the child and builds a relationship with their parents.
- Be accessible and available as a point of contact for parents or carers.
- Observing and updating the child’s care record and tracking their development within the Nursery
- Updating the child’s personal development records
- Updating the child’s individual planning and sharing the information with parents and carers.
- Responding sensitively to a child’s feelings and behaviours and meeting emotional
- needs
- Providing reassurance to new children to enable a smooth transition into nursery
- Empowering children to feel responsible and involving them actively in their own
- learning
- Supporting the physical needs of the child not limited to nappy changing, toileting and
dressing, settling to sleep, giving milk, fostering positive behaviour
Requirements
- The ideal candidate must have 2-4 years of preschool experience.
- Candidates with administrative experience will be preferred.
The successful candidate will be expected to undergo a background check and provide references.
