We are looking for a competent Freight and Logistics Coordinator to oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of our company. You will be the one to coordinate personnel and processes to achieve the effective distribution of goods. A great asset for a Logistics Coordinator is their communication and negotiation skills. They are also well-versed in supply management principles and practices. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities and a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Procure rates from shipping lines, vendors and transporters
• Coordinate and negotiate with the Freight forwarders and courier companies for rates to different lanes.
• Participate in service provider selection and qualification process; manage ongoing relationships and lead quarterly business reviews
• Focus on freight negotiation, contract finalization and agreement signed
• Analyze/ trend global freight spend, identify improvement areas and present to management.
• Responsible for accurate checking of the bills received as per the rate agreed and raise discrepancies if any and get revised bills
• Timely submission of all the bills to Finance Team on the due date post getting the necessary approval and keep partners informed.
• Reconcile on a monthly basis all the outstanding bills with the partners.
• Submitting Daily, Weekly and Monthly MIS reports

Requirements

• Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in freight forwarding.
• Degree in Shipping, Transportation or related discipline
• Thorough knowledge of Freight management.
• Knowledge of ERP systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Efficient user of MS-Excel and macros.
• Strong negotiation, communication and supplier management skills
• Good time management skills
• Ability to work Flexible Hours as you would be working in International Markets across the Globe
