Responsibilities
As a specialist in Ushur's Engineering team, your responsibilities will be to:
- Develop reusable cross browser compatible responsive UI frameworks/libraries
- Author UI design guidelines and evangelize the best practices across the team(s)
- Define and standardize on third-party UI components, tools, extensions, and libraries
- Translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the rest UI team, UI/UX designers and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.
- Take ownership of defining the CICD pipeline for UI environments, covering static code analysis, unit and integrations tests, performance amp; security tests
- Define and evangelize, secure UI development best practices, keeping in mind OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and other security threats in the SaaS environment. Actively drive threat-modelling amp; remediation processes
- Incorporate business requirements, collaborate with larger technical teams, and get involved in creating software solutions
- Track new, relevant frameworks and apply them to our software development
- Build internal frameworks for fast development by creating libraries
- Contribute to the development of open-source libraries that Ushur can provide for the benefit of external development communities including our customer base
- Mentoring and unblocking team members
- Perform code reviews, design reviews, test plan reviews etc as per the execution needs working in a agile environment
Requirements
- Engineering degree in computer science or any related field
- 8+ years of industry experience in design and development of applications using restful APIs
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks, with substantial experience designing in React.js
- Experience with compiled CSS, such as SCSS and TypeScript strongly preferred
- Experience with responsive web design strongly preferred
- Experience in designing REST APIs, analytics/instrumentation frameworks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to coordinate, follow-through, and negotiate the resolution of issues and conflicts
- Experience in AWS is preferred
- Experience in developing single page application (SPA) based UIs
