The Job
As we continue on our exciting and pioneering journey at the forefront of life sciences and data science, we are looking for an experienced, proactive and creative thinking UI Developer to implement our platform user interface. Working closely with the Product Management team, you will be designing UI solutions from wireframes and building UI components to expand the services provided by the platform with a proficiency in ReactJS, Microsoft fluent design, monorepos and micro-frontends.
Using your experience of REST API or/and GraphQL you will connect the UI to the backend services designed on microservices architecture. You will collaborate with others on projects and contribute to regular meetings such as stand ups, making use of your excellent team working skills and Agile abilities..
Your passion for UI development will be demonstrated by your up to date knowledge of best practices and approaches as well as your ability to contribute ideas and suggest changes.

Your essential Knowledge, Skills amp; Experience5 - 9 years of hands on experience in UI development
Graduation level education in Engineering or MCA or M Sc (Computers)
Minimum of 2 years (and above) Experience in modern UI frameworks like ReactJS web/Native
Experience and expertise in HTML, CSS and Javascript
Hands-on experience working with server-side JavaScript frameworks like Express based on Node.js
Familiar with UI design concepts and user interface design
Experience of working in an Agile environment, particularly Scrum and JIRA
Experience of writing automated tests and testable code using Jest
Experience of connecting the UI with backend using REST API or GRAPHQL
Transforming UX wireframes/design into responsive web pages
Experienced user of the GIT/GITHUB repository
Knowledge in Microsoft Fluent Design or similar design frameworks
Ability to articulate and explain details around web development basics like browser security issues, iframe to iframe communication, https requests, CORS
Good understanding Web components framework
Requirements
Desirable skills and experience
An understanding of Python or other scripting languages would be useful
Knowledge/Experience of working with data visualisation libraries like D3, Cytoscape or similar is a big plus
Experience or knowledge in other UI frameworks like Angular or Vue is desirable
Knowledge or understanding of the latest UI design concepts like micro-frontends and monorepo
Understanding of microservices is desirable
