Job Description
ProArch is seeking a Network and Infrastructure Solutions Architect. You will operate as the technical solution architect for network and infrastructure solutions opportunities. The solutions architect proactively and holistically leads and supports the sales engineering activities that guide the client's vision and implementation of a portfolio of solutions. Solutions include projects, products, systems (including applications, technologies, processes, and information), shared infrastructure services (cloud and hybrid).
To do your job successfully, you must understand the client's business goals, objectives, business outcomes, capabilities, value streams, and processes. The solutions architect provides the necessary leadership, analysis, and design tasks related to developing technology solutions and ensuring that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. He or she creates sales material, customer-facing presentations, and required internal deliverables for the proposed solution to enable and drive targeted business outcomes. You must be able to perform both hands-on technical implementation along with architecture and design capabilities.
Solutions may include some or all of the following examples of solutions
- Infrastructure Physical Route, Switch, Firewalls, Virtual Infrastructure (Microsoft Azure)
- Systems Cloud-native connectivity, Remote connectivity, storage connectivity
- Security Control implementation, hardening, and best practices in network infrastructure
- Network Assessments, optimization, and Cloud and on-premises design
- Resiliency DR strategy and consulting on high availability environments
- Data Center Strategy, design, hybrid cloud implementation, optimization, governance
Expectations
- Understands business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determines corresponding enterprise system designs and change requirements to drive the prospect or client's targeted business outcomes
- Understands emerging technology trends and disruptions and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models
- Be passionate about Networking and Microsoft Technology, translate your passion into a deep understanding of these solutions, and act as an SME to internal resources and clients on the technology.
- Acts as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes. WAN, LAN, WLAN, Network Security, Datacenter, Hybrid Cloud, SaaS services.
- Manages and develops the architecture for a broader scope of projects, working closely with the CTO office on making it repeatable
- Identifies the client impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures, or culture) and financial impact of the solutions
- Works closely with the program management office (PMO) to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised throughout the project

- Demonstration of value to clients using Proofs of Value / Proof of Concepts
- Participate in marketing material generation through thought leadership
- Achieve certifications as required for the job role
- Participate in delivery activities as necessary to ensure client success
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is preferred. Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering analysis, or security management
- The ideal candidate will have the Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification (AZ-303, AZ-304) and the Azure Network Engineer AZ-700
- Experience designing, implementing, and migrating to Teams audio is a plus
- Minimum of five years of experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, or cloud development
- Experience with on-premises datacenters and technology (hypervisors, SAN, switching) and implementing hybrid technologies with Azure or AWS to foster cloud adoption.
- Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments in a variety of industries
- Experience working for a technology solution provider is helpful but not required
- Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps
- Experience delivering presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences
- Trusted and respected as an IT Subject Matter Expert who can influence and persuade business and IT leaders and IT development teams
