Designation Lead - Android Developer
Department Engineering
As a Lead Android Developer, you will be building a Native App that would enable seamless and secure access to Global Wi-Fi Networks for Users and Devices (including Wearables amp; IoT)
We are looking for a developer who is passionate about building a high-quality mobile App by pushing mobile technologies to the limits.
Responsibilities include but not limited to
- Build advanced native android products amp; applications from scratch
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
- Act as a subject matter expert in all areas of the mobile application development life cycle
- Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code
- Contribute to the high-performance of the agile-development lifecycle by ensuring productive, consistent and successful sprints
- Translate business requirements into applications by implementing the best strategy to ensure design meets performance, usability, reliability, and scalability standards
- Create new and extend existing operational documentation based on industry best practices and establish international standards of software development.
- Oversee major changes to our Android architecture
- Identify and correct bottlenecks, fix bugs, monitor App reviews amp; enhancing the application’s performance
- Solve complex real-time data transfer and synchronization issues
- Prioritize and organize development tasks to contribute to meeting project and product development goals on-time and on-budget
- Publishing application on App Store
- Work with outside data sources and APIs
- Staying up to date with new mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols
Requirements
Skill Set Required
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of in- depth professional experience in Android native application development
- Strong knowledge of Android SDKs, different versions of Android, and different screen sizes
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Solid hands-on experience in the following languages / tools / environments:
- Android application architecture, design, and development
- Mobile development frameworks
- Mobile application development tools and environments (Eclipse)
- In-depth experience with application and user interface level using at least one mobile application development language
- Asynchronous programming and networking protocols.
- Knowledge of Android Platform, Java, Kotlin, NDK and design patterns
- Experience in network features of the OS including Wi-Fi and blue tooth is a big plus
- Should be open for Individual Contributor Role
- Should be a Code lover
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries
- Knowledge and experience with build and release management
- Should be proactive and a motivated self-starter
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill along with time management skills
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Good knowledge of deployment on the Google App Stores amp; working in online amp; offline mode
- Understanding of Google's Android design principles and design pattern
