The Team : The design team strives to bring a sense of humaneness and clarity to the conversations we have with the people who use our products. We are a close-knit, collaborative group, who are ardent believers of iterative user-centered design. By combining data amp; thoughtful critique, we strive to bring warmth amp; clarity to our meticulously crafted products. The content design team is growing amp; we strive to have writers from diverse backgrounds: From seasoned journalists to UX designers. You will be spearheading the content design team, to use language as a means of making the product suite easy to understand and accessible to all. You will report to the Director of Design and set the direction for content in the product and within the team. You will help choose the right words at the early stages of the product, from naming new features to defining instructions. You will shape the tone and product voice in a scalable manner, while guiding the team on how to build processes. You are a seasoned content designer who thoroughly enjoys efficient, effortless and seamless experiences. You are a detail oriented and articulate person with an eye for simplifying a concept into an easy to consume format. You strive for simplicity but you have an array of skills in your arsenal. You have worked on apps from scratch, worked closely with designers, product managers, business heads and developers. You can carve your own path without much doubt or hand holding and can lead others. You can collaborate easily and can instill your team with optimism, a zero-ego mindset with a vision to grow. You will be handling the overall content, ranging from micro copy to technical documentation for a series of our products, including Payzapp amp; Turbo.The Role :- Defining the practice of content writing within the product suite.
- Emphasising on building the right kind of team, by prioritizing what skill sets would make an impactful group of writers.
- Setting the performance expectations with your team, based on level.
- Using language to help our users achieve their goals. Applying the principles of content strategy, information architecture, interaction design fundamentals and digital communication towards creating a cohesive voice.
- Understanding the nuances of the entire product suite, ensuring that your domain knowledge is strong.
- Scaling yourself by using style guides, leading workshops and creating a system in place for your team to work seamlessly.
- Collaborating with partner teams, across varied regions and cultures, with the goal of building scalable content.
- Pushing the boundaries for success, by always questioning and testing assumptions, beyond what is familiar. Exploration, validation, testing and iterating will be essential in driving user satisfaction.
- Building compelling long term strategies on how to scale content.
- Helping the content design team thrive at all times by providing thoughtful leadership and mentorship to the team.
The Skills :- 8+ years experience writing in content based roles, with 3-5 years in managing a team of writers.
- Prior track record in leading teams, where quality, scale and execution are always the priority.
- Prior experience in crafting product experiences from scratch, in an instructional and long-form content setting.
- An inquisitive passion for modern technology in the neobanking space.
