  • Lead a team of 3-5 Senior Managers / Managers (Direct Reports) and a team of indirect reportees, guide and direct them in order that books of accounts are updated and maintained accurately.
  • Lead the monthly book closure activities.
  • Ensure that all processes (specifically on controls) are established, strengthened and followed.
  • Ensure Revenue Assurance activity is carried out regularly, including all activities forming part of Accounts Receivable such as invoicing, collections reconciliation, reconciliation of indirect taxes and client contract management.
  • Responsible for capturing all revenue related transactions as per IFRS globally and ensuring
  • Responsible for Accounts Payable part including recording transactions and payments globally.
  • Responsible for statutory compliances GST, TDS, VAT, Income Tax and other payroll related statutories globally.
  • Responsible for completion of statutory audits in a timely manner with no significant adverse observations.
  • Ensure all corrective actions recommended as a result of observations made in audits are taken in time-bound manner and implemented.
  • Responsible for monthly and annual closure of books of accounts of other entities present outside of India.
  • Responsible for all statutory aspects related to IT assessments, audits by departments, any pending issues.
  • Responsible for training needs of subordinates and mentoring them for development in next role.
  • Keep the team motivated at all times and ensure efficient operations of Finance amp; accounts function.
  • Support other activities such as Reporting, Due Diligence and Procurement function and ensure smooth coordination/ resolution of issues and innovative solutioning for improvement in business practices or emerging business demands.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A qualified Chartered Accountant with atleast 10 years of work experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • IFRS Diploma or training by ACCA /Big 4 audit firms
Prior work experience:
  • Above 12 years post qualification, in a high growth corporate environment in companies with global presence.
  • Experience in consumer facing start-ups which have achieved scale, working in technology enabled space is a plus.
  • Should have grown into managing finance function for a $100m+ topline company.
  • Should have experience of implementing and working in an ERP / SaaS environment.
  • Should have completed Statutory audits of India and atleast 1 foreign entity in Singapore / USA with big 4 auditors.
  • Designing and implementing a finance system is a key requirement.
  • Preferred industry segments : Edtech, Fintech, Retail, SAAS and Technology
Essential Skill Sets:
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams.
  • Should have process mindset, systems thinking and know-how.
  • Demonstrated ability to close monthly books, including an exposure to consolidation of accounts of multiple subsidiaries.
  • Proficient in statutory compliance and controls, filing of various returns globally (US / Singapore) is a must.
  • Knowledge of IND-AS, IFRS is a must.
  • Should have worked alongside the Big 4 audit firms for closing books of accounts / statutory audits.
  • Excellent working skills of MS office (word, excel, powerpoint), ERP.
