Manager - Evidence Evaluation (Communications)

In this job you will lead and manage a research team of initially 2-4 people. The aim of the team is to generate systematic literature reviews for HTA submissions, initial landscape assessments and informing the development of health economic models and publications in close collaboration with our statisticians and health economists. You will report directly to one of the Senior Directors of the team.

• Project and Line Management
  • Plan and manage client projects which includes generation of specified evidence to stringent deadlines
  • Participate in local and global project/team meetings as required
  • Line Manage and mentor junior team members
• Technical contribution
  • Plan, write, edit, review, and coordinate the development of HTA documents, systematic reviews, targeted reviews and other literature review types and/or publication of scientific data through peer-reviewed journals and forums.
  • Effectively develop innovative approaches to communicate market access and HEOR strategies for BresMed clients.
  • Research and write content for client deliverables to a high standard, within project timelines and budget including reports, slide decks and publications.
  • Prepare appropriate tables, figures, and other appropriate graphics to assist in presenting results of research.
  • Interpretation of literature review outputs and draw/summarize conclusions and unmet needs from associated deliverables (protocols, data extractions tables).
  • Quality check data and reports versus source documents.
  • Utilize reference management software.
  • Support cross-functional coaching, mentoring, and training.
  • Contribute to process improvements, suggesting opportunities where appropriate.
  • Active participation in meetings, and optimal communication with team members.
  • Work with internal and external speakers to develop and prepare presentations.
  • Work collaboratively with statisticians and health economists in the company.

Requirements

• A proven track record in medical/scientific writing (preferably HEOR), for a variety of therapy areas.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, including an understanding of clinical trials, and drug development process.
• A commitment to producing high quality deliverables, Cognitive abilities including verbal reasoning, attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical ability.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, and an ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team with colleagues and clients.
• Effective time management over multiple projects.
• Identify training gaps for the team and support the learning and development process for the team.
• Demonstrated high-level end-user computer skills (e.g., word processing, tables and graphics, spreadsheets, presentation, and referencing software).
• Experience in project management and client consulting globally.
• Experience in line management (preferable).

Due to the project-based nature of the role, the successful candidate will need to have an enthusiasm for variety along with a flexible attitude. Essential requirements are a science degree, preferably pharmacology, pharmacy, medical or biology based, good English writing skills and an interest in systematic reviews. The candidate needs to be organised with particular excellence in time and project management, meticulous, reliable, and self-motivated. Interpersonal and communication skills are imperative as is the ability and interest to be a team leader and mentor.
