ABOUT THE ROLE
Toppr is looking for a Subject Matter Expert in its Knowledge Team. As a Subject Matter Expert, you’ll clear students' doubts and help them improve their understanding. Manage a team of freelancers to ensure a seamless experience for the students using our platform. Training of freelancers and providing them regular feedback on their doubt solving skills. HOW YOU’LL RAMP
In First Week
Understand Toppr’s journey, its values, and mission
Understand the doubt solving process and its details
Spend time with the different vertices of the Knowledge team, to get up-to-speed on Toppr’s offering, its competition, and future outlook.
By Day 30
Define the objectives and key results (OKRs) that Toppr’s knowledge strategy must achieve. Coordinate with the team and manage the roadmap for content development.
Collect students’ feedback, understand their learning needs, and focus on improving user performance
Manage freelancers - onboarding, task allocation, review, and feedback
ABOUT TOPPR
Toppr is India’s leading ed-tech company with a mission to make learning personalized. Our adaptive after-school learning app for classes 5th to 12th is used by over 14 million students. Along with the learning app, our School Operating System (School OS) and the recently Launched Toppr Codr product, provide students with the complete in-school, after-school and co-curricular learning ecosystem. We have the widest syllabus coverage with over 20 subjects, 20 boards, and 60 exams.
We believe each child is unique with distinct learning needs. We are building Toppr as an adaptive platform to increase engagement, optimize learning and improve outcomes for all students. Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Working on different types of content depending on the project requirements
Creating stimulating lesson plans, test series, lecture PPTs, solutions for questions and recommending interesting additional resources for JEE(Main+Advanced)/NEET in any one of Maths, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology.
Analyzing previous year exam papers of JEE/NEET to depict the important types of questions, concepts, and patterns hence utilizing it to build content of the highest quality product.
Collaborating with teachers, graphic designers, and illustrators to design and revamp both new and established learning models and content.
To Review the content (Concepts, factual correctness, calculations, language, formatting styles, etc.) and ensure that the content meets the high-quality standards.
To Check and edit text thoroughly for correct grammar, punctuation, syntax, usage, style, format, consistency, and client guidelines. Edit test questions and other assessment materials produced by the in-house team.
To perform editorial reviews of all types of content at all stages of production. Other responsibilities include raising queries, sharing timely feedback, working with teams amp; departments to ensure creating 100% error-free content.
Eligibility Criteria
• Experience: Fresher or 0-4 Years of Experience
• Qualification: Graduation/Post Graduation
• Communication skills: Excellent
• Writing skills: Excellent
• Management skills: Excellent
• Tools: MS office, Math Equations/Math Type, Chemdraw, Latex, etc.
• Expertise Area: Textbook Solution Authoring, Assessment development, Content
development for school books, Alt text writing, experience in teaching, copy editing
Advantage to candidates who are GATE/JEE/NEET qualified.
