VP of Engineering

We are looking for a VP of Engineering to lead multiple software engineering teams and help us build great products for our clients. To be successful in this role, you must be an excellent manager, have the ability to build stellar engineering teams, recruit the right people, and build a great team culture. You must be an excellent communicator and must be able to resolve complex people, process and technical problems. You are also expected to manage engineering budget and work with the executive team in achieving the company vision.

• Design, implement, and monitor all operations and key performance metrics/operational efficiency for the engineering team
• Recruit and develop top engineering talent
• Build high performance teams that can deliver quality at scale
• Define best practices around code, design, architecture, testability, CI/CD and observability, and ensure 100% alignment to them
• Maintain and optimize budgets to meet goals
• Recommend new technology and ideas to improve delivery efficiency
• Keep the team aligned to the short term and long term organizational vision
• Engage with key clients to identify potential areas of growth and to solicit direct feedback on delivery

Requirements

• 18+ years of software product development and delivery experience with 3+ years managing teams of size 100+
• Experience building and managing teams across multiple products and clients
• Experience with recruiting; defining and executing efficient hiring strategies
• Strong technology orientation and experience in developing enterprise class applications
• Ability and experience managing engineering budget
• Excellent understanding of Agile software development methodology, conceptually and practically
• A hands-on leader, who believes in solving problems and enabling teams for success
• Exceptional listening, presentation and communication skills
