Job Description

Euromonitor International is hiring for a Data Quality Team Lead to join its Bangalore office on a permanent basis.

Catalyst is one of our analytical units focused on optimising our work with data, driving efficiency across our existing operations, and innovating our current and new products by integrating new tools, methodologies and optimising our processes. In Catalyst, we are passionate about data, learning and solving problems. Data quality is at the centre of what we do, and thus, we are looking to strengthen our unit by appointing new Data Quality Analysts and a Data Quality Analyst Team Lead.

The DQTL needs to be a leader who can motivate and guide individuals and the whole team through hands-on work and coaching. This role will be to focus on team member development and the supervision and quality control of project execution.

The position reports to a Catalyst (Sr.) Product Manager who in turn reports to Zsuzsanna Kantor, Director NextGen Solutions.

Requirements

Post holder responsibilities:

  • Mentor, guide, and provide feedback to support individual team member development
  • Identify opportunities for growing the strength of team members or help close gaps in performance
  • Conduct meaningful and useful team sessions, including minutes and ideation sessions
  • Ensuring the successful execution of deliverables of this team members (note, a DQTL will continue to deliver his/her own work 30-50% of the time)
  • Act as senior support and final quality control on all projects executed by their team members
  • The day-to-day execution of data quality control, by line-managing analysts, establishing schedules and project plans
  • Provide guidance and ensure implementation of best practices for all aspects of the quality control
  • At times, team members will be assigned to work with other Euromonitor colleagues; the DQTL will need to ensure that team members interact closely with the project team to ensure objectives of the project are met to the satisfaction of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure that frequent and timely communication takes place to deliver on time and to a high quality
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures for monitoring workload
  • Ensure effective team capacity utilisation and facilitate effective project allocation by prompt and accurate capacity updates and close collaboration with line manager
  • Drive interaction and close collaboration with Catalyst, Data Science and other relevant Euromonitor teams across our global offices to ensure effective project planning and execution
  • Drive collaboration across One Research Euromonitor to enhance the quality of data we report to our clients
  • Regular use and promotion of Salesforce to monitor and capture resource utilisation
  • Maintaining up-to-date project entries in Salesforce are vital to understanding the revenue, profitability, and status of all ongoing projects
  • Support the Catalyst team in recruiting new team members
  • Assist and contribute to training and development of data quality analysts
  • Contribution to brainstorming and design of improvements to existing data-led products, and the development of new data-led solutions


Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

  • At least three years’ experience in data quality control

  • The ability to perform well under pressure; working efficiently and fast when required by tight project timeline and deal with tough client questioning in a professional manner
  • First-rate time management and ability to prioritise
  • Tenacity and attention to detail is critical
  • English language proficiency is essential
  • Ability to review, analyse and manage large volumes of data
  • Strong organisational skills
  • An aptitude for analysis and client reporting
  • Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel
