Tryzens is looking for an experienced administrator to manage our Jira server application and join our team. The Jira administrator is vital to the maintenance of our operations and processes.
The person will work in our team in India and provide global support on our Operations team. The team manages the Atlassian applications (Jira amp; Confluence), making sure they are configured to support the needs of our users and functions. We are looking for someone who can work quickly in a deadline-driven environment. The ability to work independently, from task conception to completion, as well as in a team environment, is a must
Requirements
Duties amp; Responsibilities
Understand Tryzens’ way of working in Jira / Confluence and be able to train new joiners on the processes
Serve as a subject matter expert and evangelist for implementing best practices.
Analyse and review current configurations to determine and recommend improvements to ways of working
Lead the Jira Improvement Board to review, approve and release changes to Jira
Communication of changes to teams
Maintaining Jira data quality by
o Training Project Managers (PM) / Delivery Managers (DM)
o Monitoring the Jira setup report to identify issues / follow up with PMs / DMs
o Archiving old projects
o Updating custom field information as required
o Manage Jira amp; Confluence permissions - Global and Project wise
o Perform periodic application clean-up and maintenance tasks.
Maintain new user process and update new user information as required
Troubleshooting of issues from the global team related to Jira
Maintenance of Add-ons and regular testing and updates to these
Ownership of testing and upgrading Jira versions
Actively managing incoming support queues and tickets for new Client users or deactivation
Create complex JIRA workflows, project workflows, field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes and notification schemes
Maintaining/updating existing project workflows, field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes
Automate JIRA processes as much as possible to save the team time and reduce errors and omission
Architect JIRA based solutions to meet business needs and solve business issues
Gather requirements to determine ways to optimize and improve JIRA setups and workflows
Required Skills
4+ years of experience with Jira API’s, Tool Integration and Jira Configuration Manager
Ability to create custom scripts in Jira to automate workflows and extend base functionality
Knowledge of applications such as Confluence preferred
Jira server maintenance and service management experience
Experience in Agile Scrum methodology is a plus
Experience developing and deploying custom plugins for Jira
ITIL Certification and Jira Certification a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication
