Job Description
The successful candidate will be part of the Systematic Review team. The team conducts systematic literature reviews and writes reports to support health technology assessment submissions, the development of health economic models and manuscripts for publication in peer reviewed journals. This role will require the candidate to
- Assist senior team members in the planning and delivery of projects, which includes the generation of specified evidence to stringent deadlines
- Work with senior team members to develop search strategies and literature retrieval methods
- Conduct preliminary electronic database searches and systematic reviews including citation/full article assessment and data extraction
- Work with senior team members and statisticians in the UK to synthesise clinical and economic research evidence for statistical analysis
- Quality check data and reports versus source documents
- Write and present research methods, outcomes and reports to the senior team and directly to clients
- Contribute to the writing, editing and submission of academic papers in journal-specific formats
- Utilise reference management software
- Support the development of materials for external meetings such as client presentations, meeting agendas and meeting minutes
- Collaborate with other research associates, statisticians and health economists in the company and participate in local and global project/team meetings as required.
Requirements
Due to the project-based nature of the role, the candidate will need to have an enthusiasm for variety along with a flexible attitude. Essential requirements for this role are a science degree, preferably pharmaceutical sciences, with a good GPAT score/rank, excellent English writing skills and an interest in medical writing. The candidate needs to be organised, with good time management and project management skills, and must be meticulous, reliable and self-motivated. Interpersonal and communication skills are imperative as is the ability to be a team player.
