Job Description

The role of a UI Lead / Manager is crucial to our organization as we are creating our flagship product UI from scratch in Angular. The scope is tremendous and work is challenging! The job involves creating custom components for Angular modules using best practices that we follow in our team and implement it in the new UI. As a Lead you would need to see this through and own it to make sure the end results are achieved.

As a Lead you would be responsible for:

  • Building a web application based on Designs provided by using SCSS as the CSS macro processor
  • Integrate the Angular services with APIs from the backend team
  • Implement UI development best practices to write optimized and non-buggy code
  • Work in Agile environment with sprint releases ranging from 2 to 4 weeks
  • Feasibility study of requirement and suggest multiple approaches for a problem after sufficient RnD
  • Keep abreast with trending recent UI tools, technologies, plugins and software in the industry
  • Taking Part in Architecture, Design discussions amp; Agile ceremonies
  • Create reports to give updates on projects
  • Train new employees
  • Responsible for the Performance appraisal process
  • Strong commitment towards quality and schedule.
  • Cross team coordination

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in UI Development and hands-on experience on Angular 2+, Node etc. .
  • Experience with Jira, SVN, Git will be an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of data structures and quick problem solving skills would be essential
  • Must have knowledge on Javascript, jQuery, ECMAScript
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6) or TypeScript
  • Familiarities with modern JavaScript tools, like npm and webpack
  • Excellent technical design, problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Experience with test-driven development
  • Experience building JavaScript/CSS Frameworks or shared component libraries used in large scale production websites.
  • Understands frontend software design patterns (e.g. asynchronicity, data binding, modules, objects, promises).
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices amp; best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience in leading a development team.
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment, Clear understanding of SCRUM and Kanban is needed
  • Experience in SAAS product development is added advantage
