ABOUT TOPPR:

Toppr is India’s leading ed-tech company with a mission to make learning personalized. Our adaptive after-school learning app for classes 5th to 12th is used by over 20 million students. Along with the learning app, our School Operating System (School OS) and the recently Launched Toppr Codr product, provide students with the complete in-school, after-school and co-curricular learning ecosystem. We have the widest syllabus coverage with over 17 subjects, 22 boards, and 58 exams. We believe each child is unique with distinct learning needs. We are building Toppr as an adaptive platform to increase engagement, optimize learning and improve outcomes for all students. Toppr was started in 2013 by IIT Bombay alumni Zishaan Hayath and Hemanth Goteti and is backed by venture capital firms like SAIF, Helion, Eight Roads, Kaizen and Foundation Holding.

Job Description:

The core function of the job is developing a content strategy based on a company’s business objectives and a customer’s or end user’s needs. Creative professionals in this role oversee content requirements and create content strategy deliverables across a project life cycle. This can include conducting content audits (qualitative analyses of all the content on a network of sites and social media accounts) as well as gap analyses.

The content strategist is often in charge of creating and maintaining editorial calendars, style guides, taxonomies, metadata frameworks and content migration plans. Content strategists may also be responsible for managing other employees and freelancers, maintaining budgets, and assisting with the technical integration of content.

Skills Required :

High-level thinkers who also have a penchant for keeping track of details.

Content strategists must be standout idea generators and problem solvers with excellent communication and organizational skills.

These strategy experts must have the analytical abilities necessary to gather key business and user insights, and apply their strategic planning skills to create a long-term vision for the content that’s generated.

Project management experience will help the content strategist keep projects on track and within budget.

Other desirable traits include the ability to compellingly communicate a brand’s story, and a design sensibility to envision how content will be presented or distributed in formats other than text-based articles, such as infographics or multimedia presentations.

A firm understanding of user experience and strong search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) skills are often preferred.

Public Relation

Public relations account executives are responsible for handling all aspects of planned publicity campaigns and PR activities.

Other tasks include:

  • Planning the PR strategy and rolling out PR campaigns
  • Writing/producing presentations and press releases
  • Dealing with enquiries from the public, the press, and related organisations
  • Organising and attending promotional events such as press conferences, open days, exhibitions, tours and visits
  • Analysing media coverage, commissioning or undertaking relevant market research, where necessary


HOW YOU’LL RAMP:

First week

  • Induction programme:
    • Understand Toppr’s journey, its values and mission.
    • Spend time with the Marketing, Product, and Sales teams to get up-to-speed on Toppr’s offering, its competition, and future outlook.

By Day 30

  • Understand Toppr’s objectives: Assist in defining the objectives and key results (OKRs) that Toppr’s digital marketing strategy must achieve.
  • Conduct research: Explore and analyze the best digital marketing channels for Toppr. Basis your research, predict the response of the campaign. The goal is positive ROI.
  • Plan and execute: Based on your research, coordinate, plan, and prepare the leads plan. Present this plan to the stakeholders and incorporate their feedback into final plan.

Day 90

  • Track and evaluate: Set up a tracking mechanism to measure the effectiveness of the digital marketing campaign.
  • Evaluate performance: Generate analysis of campaign performance. Measure the impact of work and use data to refine priorities.
  • Refine execution: Make decisions based on data and stay ahead of the curve by aiming for the best ROIssistan
