Noon - The Social Learning Platform (https://www.noonacademy.com/) is one of the fastest-growing EdTech startups and the first in delivering social learning at scale. Simply put, it makes study fun by crafting a peer-to-peer learning experience that is joyful, collaborative, and informative. Students join friends in study groups, competitions, and LIVE sessions with star teachers in which they can collaborate and problem-solve together in a breakout format. No wonder our engagement rocketed to 78 min/day on average in its social features, 5x the global benchmark of EdTech apps.
Today, Noon is loved by over 10 million registered students. Students across 8 countries participate in various study groups and learn from over 25k teachers.

Requirements
What will you do
- Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentorship to a small group of highly skilled and motivated engineers.
- Guide the vision of iOS Team and align it with company's growth
- Be the guardian of engineering guidelines like code review, coding and engineering excellence.
- Work on architecture which will help us scale and support to go global
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the app
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement solutions to maximise development efficiency.
- Build automation tools to increase the observability and reduce the recurring dev efforts
- You support on call roasters

- Empathy for students, so that you can build experience which can help student to get uninterrupted education
- Ability to create, communicate and drive a technical vision across teams
- You like to take the functional team to the next level by continuous improvements in the engineering processes
- You enjoy mentoring team members and enhancing the technical expertise of the team
- Ability to bring a diverse experience (both success and failure) to bear when making architectural decisions and ability to logically defend those decisions.
- You like to design your solution, collaborate with peers and also focus on non functional aspects like scale, performance etc.
- Proficiency in a Swift programming language with strong foundation in data structures/algorithms and understanding of multi-threading, reactive programming
- You back your decisions by data and paint a bigger picture
- Experience in building systems to solve real time communication problems like Webrtc, socket, network bandwidth is a plus
