Know our team

Nutrition International’s Operations unit is a dedicated team of program implementation experts who are responsible for contributing to the overall management of NI’s field operations in Asia and Africa. This position will report to the Country Director, India which is responsible for developing and ensuring successful implementation of newborn care and infant young child nutrition programs within the framework of NI India’s objectives and strategic and operational plans.

About you

You are a mid-level public health professional and nutrition expert with extensive experience in program management or have held such roles in the past and have experience in working with Newborn, Infant young Child Health Nutrition in managing and implementing multiple projects to ensure high-quality programming in India. You have an excellent ability to develop internal and external partnerships and have collaborated with NGOs, UN agencies, etc., or similar organizations working on public health and nutrition-related programs.

About the role

In this role you will be responsible to support the Country Director with the following:

• Project development and planning for Newborn and Infant Young Child Health and Nutrition.
• Advocacy and liaison with the government and relevant organizations.
• Support in designing training curriculum and conducting training at various levels to ensure quality.
• Responsible for planning, developing monitoring, modifying, and reporting of all programs and budgets under newborn and IYCN.
• Support in the design of the BCI strategy and interventions and development of BCI products for creating awareness.
• Responsible for developing communications and advocacy plans and work with NI communications unit for preparation of press releases, project brochures/flyers, and others communications material related to their programs.
• Responsible for reviewing the TOR for Implementing partners and contract management.
• Leading State teams to ensure program deliverables.
• Support periodic data collection and validation for monitoring and reporting.
• Field level monitoring and supportive supervision for the field team.
