The Role
Note: This role is remote role - you can work from the comforts of your home!
As our Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, it would be ideal if you have:
- Strong e-commerce/ fashion related engineering / QA experience
- Immense attention to detail, with the ability to dig deep and find seek the root cause and propose ways to solve
- Strong desire to understand the business and user behaviour - catching edge cases before anyone else does
- An entrepreneurial spirit with a self starter attitude and ability to get your hands dirty
- An insatiable desire for knowledge and a natural curiosity about the ‘hows’ and ‘whys’
Main responsibilities
The individual in this role will be responsible for the following:
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
- Monitor debugging process results.
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
- Load testing using Jmeter will be a plus

Requirements
Qualifications amp; Experience
- ~4-7 years of experience with manual and automation testing including creation of Test Plans, Test Cases and other documentation necessary for testing.
- Experience in Ecommerce is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills amp; keen attention to details.
- Must be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing will be a plus
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Understanding of QA automation using tools like Selenium is preferred
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
- High school diploma with 2+ years of experience, or a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
- Understanding of Javascript, HTML/CSS amp; Java will be a plus
