Job Description
- Responsible for overseeing day to day transaction processing of global trade finance - export/import customers (India, UAE, China, Hong Kong, USA and new MODIFI geographies).
- Overall responsibility for developing the global trade finance OPS department, managing 2 Transaction Managers initially and fast expansion.
- Ensuring transactions are processed and queries are resolved within TAT thereby accountable for quality customer service and experience.
- Constantly strive to move towards the digital way of working thereby moving away from traditional document based processes to a full digitalization
- Responsible for maintaining a clean portfolio by ensuring regular and timely follow ups with the sales teams and customers for upcoming repayments.
- Responsible for managing the collections along with country heads and well as matching payments within stipulated TAT.
- Well versed and effectively mitigate the FATF which includes money laundering/terrorist financing/sanctions risks associated with all escalated trade finance transactions and provide approval/escalations as necessary.
- Responsible for training and guiding the team on efficient trades processing so that fraud risk, compliance risk is addressed.
- Ensure smooth onboarding of customers and problem resolving.
- Ensure timely reporting to regulatory bodies for respective geographies.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate should have a Masters/ University degree or equivalent with 10+ years of International Trade Finance operations experience (candidate with Factoring experience preferred).
- Knowledge of all trade finance products (L/C, bank guarantee(s), receivables, transactional trade finance, inward - outward remittances, incoterms, regulatory guidelines, etc.).
- Excellent client and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work autonomously and build up a team.
- Eye for detail, high on energy and self driven individual with a passion to make a difference.
- Prepare for audit and take necessary actions for clean audit results.
- Able to guide junior team members.
