Job Description
We are building a Global Platform for Shared Data driven by Block-chain, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence that will enable unprecedented monetization opportunities and freedom of choice for users across the globe. We intend to democratize the way networks are built, data is consumed and monetized. We won’t just be a disrupter but will enable startups across sectors to disrupt the status-a-quo in their respective sectors; open platform and shared economy models drive this change. We are in very early stages of our inception and our focus is to Onboard an all-stars teams and a group of forward-looking investors to be a part of our journey.
Designation: Director - Engineering
We’re looking for a passionate Director of Engineering with strong experience in building world-class products. You will be part of the Founding team; working closely with the Founders to translate the product vision into reality.
You will be working on technologies that include WiFi, IoT, Blockchain and Secure identity framework to build and deliver groundbreaking technology products.
You will be responsible to build the Engineering team from scratch and grow this function.

Position Reports to: VP of Engineering**
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:?
- ?Work with Founders to align on business priorities, and plan for long-term and short-term tech roadmap.
- Articulate a clear technology vision that is aligned with business needs
- Own the complete agile lifecycle of all products by managing the design, engineering, testing, and release
- Build amp; lead a high performing, diverse amp; distributed engineering team across India
- You will work in an entirely distributed company and help define an entirely new space while learning about how an organization scales on a hyper-growth trajectory
- You will be instrumental in setting long term vision for Engineering team and break them down into short term milestones
- You will be expected to instil and follow good software development practices and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
- You will develop solutions and strategies to tackle interesting technical problems
- Balance MVP mindset with building for scale and defining the path to market
- Constantly be looking for ways to improve products, workflow, technology stack, and to grow and develop the people under your management
- Develop relationships with engineers, team leads, and other colleagues to maximize cross-collaboration whenever beneficial
- Lead by example - Ability to manage a bunch of talented engineers and guide them to delivery
- Being hands-on coder; you will be responsible to build and deliver the MVP within first 3 months of employment.
Requirements
Desired Candidate with Engineering Excellence:
- 12+ years of experience working with mobile-first and consumer-facing products at scale; 5+ years of experience mentoring and leading teams
- Bachelor's/Maters degree in Computer Science, information systems, or engineering?from Premier Institute
- Should be hands on with building and engineering world class technology products along with being hands-on coder
- Strong technical aptitude and proven experience in architecture, design and delivery of data-intensive applications
- You love working in a start-up environment where things move fast where you have autonomy with ownership amp; accountability to deliver; Experience in start-ups which have seen scale (Million+ users)
- Excellent leadership skills with passion for learning new things and solving challenging problems
- Should have analytical abilities amp; attention to detail keeping bigger picture in mind
- You have built and worked with distributed teams
- Basic knowledge in blockchain with good understanding of cryptocurrency amp; tokens
- You have worked with decentralized technologies (Blockchain - especially ecosystem of NFTs is highly welcomed, IPFS, decentralized Apps)
- Good hands-on experience of full stack development including DevOps amp; containerization, Cloud and Security
- Hands-on exposure to IOS/Android development, App amp; Web development, Modern Web Technologies, Data Engineering
- Experience in building and running cloud-native platforms amp; distributed systems engineering
- Experience working on Open-source projects, Defi Protocols, Large Codebases, Wi-Fi, Cryptography, Data science amp; IoT is a plus
- Experience in Smart contract amp; Identity Solutions would be a huge advantage
- Hands-on experience working on Hyperledger / Ethere
