POSITION SUMMARY (Key tasks and outcomes):

AIOps is short for artificial intelligence for IT operations. AIOps platforms automate and enhance IT operations through analytics and machine learning (ML). AIOps platforms leverage big data, collecting a variety of data from various IT operations tools and devices in order to automatically spot and react to issues in real-time while still providing traditional historical analytics.

As part of enhancing Eton’s DevSecOps function, we are looking for an AIOps Leader to develop and build this practice as part of the DevSecOps team.

Position Title :- AI Ops Head/Director (Both designation are similar in Eton Solutions)

Job Description:

The AIOPS Manager will be a senior manager within Eton’s DevSecOps team focused on maximizing the availability of Eton’s critical applications through the implementation of monitoring, automation and creation of self-healing applications. Starting with Infrastructure and subsequently expanding scope to include application teams, the AIOPs team is responsible for using analytics to identify opportunities for improving systems availability and implementing these opportunities through automation. This role will partner with engineering teams, operations leaders, senior leaders and application teams to champion Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and automation approaches through the enterprise. Evolving into the future, this group will extend these technologies and practices to cloud-based services.

The Role of the AIOps Manager is to be an integral productive member of the DevSecOps organization in Tempe by: fostering the development of a common vision; communicating this vision across the enterprise; setting direction and priorities; recognizing and removing barriers to progress; encouraging and empowering others to achieve; creating enthusiasm and a desire to excel; accurately assessing the strengths and development needs of team members; giving timely, specific feedback and coaching; providing challenging assignments and opportunities. Key responsibilities include:

• Using AI and analytics, identify opportunities and work with the other Engineering teams to improve systems availability, end-user experience using the AtlasFive platform, and automating many of the manual and repetitive functions.
• Define and communicate metrics, SLA and SLO monitoring.
• Continuously review and identify Infrastructure Engineering and Operations for adoption of new technologies and automation.
• Develop business cases for automation and partner with the Automation Engineering team to implement them.
• Facilitate and lead review meetings with stakeholders and other relevant groups.
• Vendor Management - build and nurture relationships with vendors, serve as the principal on-shore contact for vendors.
• Implement a Continuous Improvement program within the team.
• Participate in and occasionally conduct problem review meetings.

Partner closely with the Platform Engineering, Tools, Compute Services and Operations teams.

Job Qualifications

• The successful candidate will have a good understanding of AI, machine learning, data analytics theory and application, software engineering principles and their application to the creation of self-healing infrastructure and applications.
• Demonstrate an ability to work across organizational boundaries.
• Deep knowledge of Infrastructure Operations and automation technologies would be an advantage but not mandatory. Knowledge of AI and ML algorithms will be critical.
• Knowledge of infrastructure technologies and knowledge of application architecture and monitoring technologies.
• Familiarity with of automation tools/technologies in the infrastructure environment.
• Knowledge of AI, ML and analytics as it pertains to infrastructure and IOT data.
• Familiarity with the use of Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence in IT Operations.

Understanding of ITIL.
