Job Description
As a Marketing Technology Architect (Marketo Technical Architect), you will be responsible for owning and delivering complex cloud-based solutions using Marketing Automation amp; CRM infrastructures. The candidate will be responsible for leading Marketing and Sales technology engagements in client facing positions. The candidate will own the architecture and design of complex solutions, while leading a team of technologists responsible for executing on the strategy laid out by the architect.
The candidate will own design elements and providing approvals on designs elements submitted by team members. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that client systems accurately meet the defined expectations and objectives of the business, ensuring that proper testing is implemented, and performance and security requirements are closely monitored by working with the project teams. The candidate must also be able to identify and confirm technical design risks and develop mitigating approaches. The candidate must have experience providing level of effort and ROM estimates for technical solutions, as well as managing teams of technical architects and leads. The architect will also be the final reviewer and approver on all client documentation and will be responsible for training clients as well as presenting solution recommendations both internally and in client facing scenarios.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop architecture for marketing automation and CRM solution components
- End to end implementations with Marketo
- Lead strategy and architecture sessions and communicate design options to clients
- Use development technologies such as JAVA and JavaScript
- Build assets using HTML and CSS
- Prefer a strong background of designing Marketo templates using a modular approach
- Integration experience using both Web based technologies (Soap, Rest) and Integration/Middleware tools such as MuleSoft
- Define the system landscape and identify gaps between current and desired end-states. Deliver a solution to fit that landscape
- Assess and prescribe remediation for Marketo and preferably Salesforce instances
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Marketo Certified Expert credential required, and Marketo Certified Solution Consultant strongly preferred
- At least 8 years of experience in business including consulting, digital marketing, marketing operations or demand gen.
- At least 6 years’ experience in Architect role relating to Marketing Automation including at least 5 years’ experience with Integration technologies
- At least 3 years’ experience with advanced reporting technologies, including, but not limited to attribution, lifecycle and ROI analytics.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Admin Certification a plus
- Experience with Dynamics CRM a plus
- Ability to manage multiple complex digital projects and timelines
- Experience managing project teams from a strategic perspective
- Experience coaching and mentoring technical teams
- Experience with offshore teams preferred
- Other platforms of interest include Adobe Campaign, Pardot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Eloqua
- Professional experience leading client engagements including:
- Preparation of status reports detailing progress, risks, dependencies and timelines
- Development of business cases
- Creation of comprehensive findings report aggregating all requirements
- Experience guiding technical and non-technical audiences alike using change management skills
- Leveraging exceptional written and verbal presentation skills to socialize, strategize and solicit buy in on technical concepts
