Job Description

Overview of the Role:

The BDE in Academics plays a critical role at Euromonitor International. Their chief objective is to assist in the prioritization and execution of strategies set by the local office focused on delivering growth in the client base in Bangalore Academic domain. Working from a massive list of academic institutions in India, BDE is expected to expand and create new relationships across the institutes leveraging our entire suite of services. This often involves engaging multiple faculties and departments. Solutions include data and trend analysis from existing syndicated databases as well as ad hoc capabilities to address information needs of the student body as well as faculty members.

The client portfolio for this role includes working on the largest b-schools (IIM amp; IIT consortium amongst others) in India to secure the syndicated database renewals along with tapping new and emerging academic institutes in India to bring them on board as Passport subscribers and contributing in expanding the base of Passport subscribers in Euromonitor India. Proven success in this role with high YTD achievement of new and renewal target can lead you to the path of becoming a Senior BDE and further a Consultant.

?The BDE primarily wears two hats:

  1. An entrepreneur. As a self-driven and intellectually curious executive, they enjoy hearing challenges from senior executives, questioning to understand the big picture, and then building a solution that involves multiple products and capabilities. Resourcefulness, flexibility and innovation are key characteristics of interest. Being an entrepreneur also requires the ability to allocate internal resources, communicating effectively with internal and regional teams.
  1. An experienced and self- driven sales professional. It is important to not only achieve, but take personal accountability to exceed sales targets, looking to establish new ways of entrenching Euromonitor’s services within existing relationships. The ability to close deals by building consensus internally and externally while continuing to drive urgency via tangible next steps is vital.
