Aligned with ION's mission to "Accelerate the Earth's transition to an All-Electric Future", our current focus is on New Energy companies - Renewable Energy, BESS, Electric Vehicles, Li-Ion Batteries, etc.

We're looking for an experienced Sr Sales Development Representative (SDR) with proven success in designing and executing a process-driven Sales strategy for enterprise SaaS.

You will be the #1 hire on our Enterprise SaaS sales team.

This means you will have full ownership, but also full responsibility to set up the sales culture.

  • You will find, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Each institution is different and has its own way of procuring software, and you must see these distinctions as opportunities for creative thinking, diligent research, and value creation.
  • You will tailor your approach to each unique opportunity, rather than relying on past strategies for selling other enterprise software.
  • Armed with a deep knowledge of the product and its real-world applicability, you must cultivate existing relationships and work diligently to build new ones.
  • Motivated by the knowledge that our software is directly responsible for preventing disasters and improving RoI for our customers you exceed ambitious sales quotas and come up with new targets.
  • Eventually, you will also hire, coach, mentor, and manage an SDR team.

Responsibilities
  • Design amp; drive a process-driven, consultative enterprise sales strategy
  • Research and identify customer prospects and targets in the North American energy market.
  • Rapidly follow up and qualify all inbound leads and provide assistance to customers who wish to trial Edison Analytics.
  • Manage all steps in the sales process including qualification, demos, proposals, securing required contract paperwork, and coordinating with the customer support team to drive ongoing success and adoption.
  • Setup amp; Manage Salesforce.com and Hubspot, GSuite etc with expert level experience
  • Monitor and report on activity in Salesforce.com with rigor, discipline and an eye for operational excellance
  • Understand and advocate for sales team’s needs, issues, pain points while balancing company goals and KPIs
  • Identify and implement strategies (with Mktg team) to increase lead generation
  • Create, send, track, and optimize email templates for prospecting and lead nurturing.
  • Ensure quarterly and annual delivery of individual and team performance objectives
  • Provide directional leadership new SDRs (as and when they join)
  • Stay current with industry trends, priorities, via participation in industry conferences and other networking and educational events
  • Collaborate with the extended team to drive adoption, customer success, and feedback on future product enhancements

Requirements

  • 3+ years proven success in selling a SaaS-based solution to Enterprise customers
  • An existing knowledge of the energy market amp; BESS opportunities in North America
  • A driven hunter mentality - competitive, goal-oriented, high-energy with team-focused results and growth
  • Previous success with designing and driving a process enterprise SaaS
  • Expert level experience with Salesforce.com and Hubspot, web conferencing software, MS Office, Google Suite
  • Proven ability to monitor and report on activity in Salesforce.com with rigor and discipline
  • Consultative selling success including strong listening, conversation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
