Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify and manage legal risk/opportunities
Keep abreast of and analyse relevant legislative developments and best practice in the specialist field or Regulatory Risk Management, in order to understand the legal implications for the organization and provide the necessary recommendations for adaptation and improvement
Set and advise on best practice processes and systems for business areas to effectively monitor and control adherence, conformance and compliance to all Functional policies and standards in order to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory laws
Provide functionally excellent non-contentious legal advice (written and verbal) and proactively keep the business units abreast of legal and regulatory developments
Act on legal risk reports, effectively and timely to sufficiently mitigate risk
Proactive monitoring of compliance of the legal risk control framework
Requirements
Admitted attorney
3 years’ experience in regulatory compliance in a corporate environment.
LLB Degree
Post Graduate qualification in Compliance
