Zycus is looking for a Strategy Consultant - Bid Operations. The incumbent will be responsible for building pricing models and support Sales teams to acquire customers and win deals for our Product and Services.
We believe that Customers don’t buy products, they buy a solution to their problems. As a business value amp; pricing manager you will build a deep understanding of value that our customers derive of Zycus’ offerings. You will build pricing configurators aligned to this value, while factoring market dynamics with an aim to gain market share and achieve revenue goals.
Job Description
Business case:
When the engagement is centered around value, the price of the product offering becomes a relative number. Sales representatives need to be equipped to hold highly specific value related conversations with their prospective customers. This would in turn enables the customer-buyer to build consensus and mobilize purchase decisions faster within their organization.
You will build various forms of business case models to address different customer situations e.g simple rule of thumb driven, heuristics driven, specific client data driven, value engineering driven etc. You will coach sales teams on using these business case models, thereby ensuring that value based sales amp; value based pricing become a religion within Zycus.
Build, update pricing configurators
You will oversees all aspects of pricing based on customer information templates, ensuring highly standardized yet customized and compelling pricing bids, are submitted in a timely manner without errors. You review all customer requirements, understand the customer relationship history, competition involved etc. to ensure that these are factored in the bid.
Insights towards pricing strategies
You will coordinate, organize and track all requests and responses
using company databases (SFDC). It is your responsibility to maintain
and update this databases regularly so that these become rich, accurate
and auditable set for analytics and insights
Requirements
Skills:
You are an excellent communicators and a team player who will build close relationship with the sales department and help them secure winning bids and increase revenues. You will also maintain an independent view to ensure that the pricing is transparent and meets Zycus’ principles. You are business-minded multi-tasker who knows how to organize and prioritize ongoing multiple pricing amp; business case requests while also ensuring that you develop the business case amp; pricing function into a sophisticated function.
· Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and good working knowledge of SalesForce is preferred (not only as an end user)
· Prior business case/ pricing amp; proposal management experience in a similar (SAAS) industry
· Experience in securing large complex contracts
· Good understanding of data analysis techniques ( forecasting, co-relation amp; regression etc.)
· Data visualization / Tableau / Microsoft Power BI / business intelligence tools will be an added advantage
· Industry-specific knowledge and background amp; good knowledge of Financial statements analysis of Companies/ Prospect customers
Experience amp; Background:
· Min 5+ years of pricing related experience, within SaaS industry
· MBA from Tier I B-School
