Job Description Summary:
The Sales Development Rep or Inside Sales Rep is responsible for proactive outbound prospecting and inbound lead follow-up to generate new business opportunities. Reporting to Marketing, the candidate will work closely with Marketing, Sales and Alliance teams to identify targeted customers and develop effective messaging for prospecting. Job Description:lt;igt;JOB REQUIREMENTS:lt;/igt;Key Responsibilities* Build sales pipeline and source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails. Proactively prospect for new business opportunities within a specific set of named accounts.. * Achieve monthly and quarterly sales bookings targets. Exceed monthly targets of new sales opportunities and meetings booked.. * Collaborate with Field Sales and Marketing and keep up to date with the local Go-To-Market and business priorities.. * Navigate org charts through outbound prospecting to identify new opportunities.. * Secures in person or virtual meetings for Field sellers; completes hand off of information to seller.. * Manage relationship-building activities to keep leads warm.. * Build and maintain a constant/future pipeline. * Research markets and industries to identify potential customers and makes first contact.. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the cloud computing market and maintain a thorough understanding of Rackspace Technology solutions offerings.. * Maintain records accuracy (account, opportunity and activity details) in Salesforce and frequently report on results and activities progress. Prepares and analyzes leads pipeline reports and dashboards.. Experience/Knowledge:* Leads generation expertise to include the ability to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including prospect lists, discovery and individual research.. * Conduct a needs analysis and determine prospects pain points to determine how the Rackspace solution will speak to those needs.. * Identify key buying influencers within these prospects to determine budget and timeline.. * Uses knowledge of how the team integrates with others to accomplish the team objectives.. * Builds and cultivates prospect relationships by initiating interactions and conducting follow-up communications in order to move opportunities through the sales funnel.. * Basic knowledge of simple configurations in cloud computing preferred.. * Uses communication skills to regularly exchange information, escalate issues and effectively share expertise within the team.. * Bachelor's Degree required; Sales, Marketing, Business or a related field.amp; At the manager’s discretion a diploma or equivalent plus an additional 3 years of relevant call center and/or sales experience may substitute for the degree requirement.. * A sales management degree and internship may substitute for the relevant experience.. * Ability to perform at the proficiency and autonomy required of the role, typically found with 1-2 years of related experience, preferably in telemarketing and/or inside sales in an IT industry.amp;.
