Your Role and Responsibilities
ProArch is seeking an Application and Development Solutions Architect. You will operate as the technical solution architect for application development opportunities in this role. The solutions architect supports the sales engineering activities that guide the client vision and implementation of a portfolio of solutions. Solutions include projects, products, systems (including applications, technologies, processes, and information), shared infrastructure services, and shared application services.
To do your job successfully, you must have a deep understanding of the client's business goals, objective and business outcomes, business capabilities, value-streams, and business processes. The solutions architect provides the necessary leadership, analysis, and design tasks related to developing technology and application solutions and ensuring that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. He or she creates sales material, customer-facing presentations, and required internal deliverables for the proposed solution to enable and drive targeted business outcomes.

- Azure and other Clouds IaaS and PaaS
- Apps, Analytics and Data services, Integration and Micro services, VMs, Containers, CDN, IoT, ML/AI
- DevOps, PipeLines, Repos, Boards, CI/CD, Templates, CLI
- Microsoft 365
- Power Platform - LowCode / NoCode
- Modern programming languages, frameworks, and user interfaces
- C# / Python / JS
- React / Angular
- Meet client and sales expectations for deliverables
- Create and provide solution demos
- Demonstration of solution value to clients using Proofs of Value / Proof of Concepts
- Participate in marketing material generation such as blogs, articles, case studies, and interviews
- Achieve certifications as required for the job role
- Readiness to travel up to 15-30% annually (when it is safe to return to traveling)
Expectations
- Understands business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determines corresponding application designs and change requirements to drive the prospect or client's targeted business outcomes
- Understands emerging technology trends and disruptions and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models
- Translates business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and documents all solution architecture design and analysis work
- Acts as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes
- Leads evaluation, design, and analysis for the implementation of a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities, value-streams, business requirements, and enterprise standards
- Manages and develops the architecture for a broader scope of projects or products, working closely with delivery teams to make sure it's repeatable
- Identifies the client impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures, or culture) and financial impact of the solutions architecture
- Works closely with the program management office (PMO) to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised throughout the project

Application and Development Solutions Architect
Required Professional Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred in computer science, information technology, engineering analysis, or cybersecurity
- 3-years of solutioning experience around application development and rehosting, refactoring, developing, or modernizing applications to run in the cloud.
- The ideal candidate will have the Microsoft Certified Azure Developer and DevOps Engineer (AZ-203 / 70-532 / AZ 400 / AZ-300 / AZ-301)
- AWS certifications are acceptable with the goal to achieve Microsoft certifications within the first year.
- Exposure in solutioning of Microsoft 365 services to drive business outcomes using Power Automate and PowerBI
- Experience using automation to manage cloud workloads and cost containment
- Minimum of five years of experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical implementation or infrastructure administrator, application development, network management, or cloud management.
