Job Description

Your Role and Responsibilities

ProArch is seeking a Cloud and Infrastructure Solutions Architect. You will operate as the technical solution architect for complex cloud and infrastructure solutions opportunities in this role. The solutions architect proactively and holistically leads and supports the sales engineering activities that guide the client vision and implementation of a portfolio of solutions. Solutions include projects, products, systems (including applications, technologies, processes, and information), shared infrastructure services, and shared application services.

To do your job successfully, you must have a deep understanding of the client's business goals, objective and business outcomes, business capabilities, value-streams, and business processes. The solutions architect provides the necessary leadership, analysis, and design tasks related to developing technology solutions and ensuring that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. He or she creates sales material, customer-facing presentations, and required internal deliverables for the proposed solution to enable and drive targeted business outcomes.

Solutions may include some or all of the following examples of solutions

• Infrastructure Lift and shift, IaaS, PaaS, storage

• Systems Cloud-native, M365 and its family of services, other SaaS services

• Security Control implementation and best practices in Cloud

• Network Networking, optimization, and Cloud and on-premises design

• Resiliency DR strategy and consulting on high availability environments, cloud-managed backup

• Data Center Strategy, design, hybrid cloud implementation, optimization, governance

Expectations

• Understands business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determines corresponding enterprise system designs and change requirements to drive the prospect or client's targeted business outcomes

• Understands emerging technology trends and disruptions and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models

• Translates business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and documents all solution architecture design and analysis work

• Acts as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes

• Leads evaluation, design, and analysis for the implementation of a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities, value-streams, business requirements, and enterprise standards

• Manages and develops the architecture for a broader scope of projects or products, working closely with delivery teams to make sure it's repeatable

• Identifies the client impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures, or culture) and financial impact of the solutions architecture

• Works closely with the program management office (PMO) to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised throughout the project

Additional responsibilities will include:

• Meet client and sales expectations for deliverables.

• Create and provide solution demos

• Demonstration of value to clients using Proofs of Value / Proof of Concepts

• Participate in marketing material generation through thought leadership

• Achieve certifications as required for the job role

• Readiness to travel up to 15-30% annually (when it is safe to return to traveling)

Requirements

Required Professional Experience

• Bachelor's degree preferred in computer science, information technology, engineering analysis, or security management

• The ideal candidate will have the Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification (AZ-303, AZ-304) and the Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) exam or another security-focused certification such as CISSP or CCSP

• Exposure in solutioning of Microsoft 365 services to drive business outcomes using Teams, MEM, Power Automate

• Experience using automation to manage cloud workloads and contain costs

• Minimum of five years of experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, or cloud development

• Experience with on-premises datacenters and technology used in them (hypervisors, SAN, switching) and implementing hybrid technologies with Azure or AWS to foster cloud adoption.

• Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments in a variety of industries

• Experience working for a technology solution provider is helpful but not required

• Experience developing architect
