Know our team

Nutrition International’s Operations unit is a dedicated team of program implementation experts who are responsible for contributing to the overall management of NI’s field operations in Asia and Africa. This position will report to the National Program Manager, Health Systems, India and supports in ensuring effective implementation of micronutrient (MN) projects in the state, supervision of NI field activities, and positioning of NI as a partner of choice for MN and nutrition programs in the state facilitated by strong relationship building with key Government officials and other implementing agencies and donors.

About you

You are a mid-level public health professional and nutrition expert with extensive experience in program management or have held such roles in the past and have experience in working with development organizations, and the ability to develop internal and external partnerships working on public health and nutrition-related programs.

About the role

In this role you will be responsible to support the National Program Manager, Health Systems, India with the following:

Identify new program opportunities based on program and policy priorities at the state level.

Identify suitable implementing partners for program implementation.

Conduct field visits at least monthly to review the progress of programs, provide supportive supervision, identify, and rectify roadblocks in programs, provide feedback to field team/ partner NGO.

Design, print, and supply necessary BCI materials and follow up for ensuring timely supply to the program districts and confirm delivery.

Prepare Term of Reference (TOR) for state consultants, oversee recruitment, issuing contracts, and facilitate training/orientation.

Support in designing training curriculum and conducting training at various levels to ensure quality.

Support in the design of the BCI strategy and interventions and development of BCI products for creating awareness.

Implementing partners and contract management.

Leading state and district teams to ensure program deliverables.

Support periodic data collection and validation for monitoring and reporting.

Field level monitoring and supportive supervision for the field team.
