The RoleApplyBoard is looking for a talented writer, compelling storyteller, and exceptional communicator to join our Marketing Team as a Marketing Communications Coordinator. In this role, you’ll be responsible for writing compelling content in English for a variety of digital and traditional mediums. If writing is your passion and you thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you! This role will start out as work-from-home and then be based out of our office in Gurgaon, India (post-restrictions).Responsibilities:
  • Personally write and edit compelling content in English for a variety of digital and traditional formats focused on educating our customers, building brand awareness, and driving usage of our platform
  • For the first 6 months in the role, heavily focus on writing articles to support the launch and growth of ApplyBoard’s new external knowledge base for recruitment partners, partner schools, and students
  • Long term, write and edit copy for a variety of mediums including websites, social media, emails, promotional materials, advertisements, white papers, eBooks, presentations, scripts, etc.
  • Properly stage content and visuals using the Zendesk platform ensuring posting guidelines and branding guidelines are adhered to
  • Proof and edit content created by other team members, providing constructive feedback and suggestions
  • Develop a strong understanding of our defined persons including recruitment partners, partner schools, and students to ensure all content produced resonates with our target audiences
  • Assist the Team Lead with the development of a content calendar and keep assigned elements of the content calendar up-to-date
  • Prioritize the production of time-sensitive content while working under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Constantly communicate with cross-functional team members to ensure that the content being produced matches the needs of other teams and is being utilized by other teams
  • Actively review and update content to ensure that the knowledge base remains up-to-date and accurate
  • Assist Team Lead to provide reporting on content performance while evolving content strategy to maximize results
  • Assist with other tasks assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A college degree or university diploma in communications, marketing, journalism, business, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience developing compelling content for a variety of mediums at a high-growth company preferably within the technology sector
  • Exceptional communication skills including writing, editing, and proofreading in English
  • Ability to produce large amounts of high quality and engaging content under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience with blog management, content creation, SEO, and reporting
  • A strong self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Previous experience working with cross-functional teams including sales, sales enablement, account management, and customer experience teams
