Senior Brand Designer

As a Senior Brand Designer at Studio Proximity, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our clients' visual identities. You will lead design projects, provide conceptual and visual direction, oversee motion and illustration design, and execute identity projects from inception to completion. Your role will require excellent communication skills to present concepts and ideas to clients with clarity and confidence.

you’ll be responsible for

• Brand Design Strategy and Ideation: Collaborate with the project stakeholders and the design team to develop and execute brand design strategies that align with the company's objectives and resonate with the target audience.
• Hands-On Visual amp; Identity Design: Conceptualize, design, and deliver high-quality and impactful visual assets, including logos, brand guidelines, marketing collateral, packaging, digital content, and more.
• Lead Brand Design Projects: Work directly with the project stakeholders, lead design discussions, mentor and guide junior designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure the successful execution of design projects.
• Stay Updated with Design Trends and Technology: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design innovations to continuously improve designs and processes and deliver cutting-edge visual solutions. Experiment with and learn new tools and incorporate them into the workflow when ideal.
• Oversee and Maintain Proximity’s Brand Identity: Apart from working on client projects, ensure brand consistency for Proximity across all touchpoints by developing and enforcing brand guidelines and standards.

you need

• Extensive Design Experience: Extensive professional experience in brand design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of successful design projects.
• Expertise in Design Tools: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), with the ability to pick up new tools like Figma (Yes, we use Figma for identity design projects, too), Spline, Rive, etc. Basic sketching and drawing skills are essential. Bonus points for proficient illustration, motion design or 3D skills.
• Creative Thinker: Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop innovative design concepts that align with brand objectives.
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate design decisions.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Experience leading design teams or mentoring junior designers.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work with finesse and consistency.
• Strong Work Ethic: Strong work ethic, high levels of self-motivation, and effective communication and time management skills to make a remote environment more productive.
• Remote Collaboration amp; Communication: Ability to work and collaborate remotely across multiple teams and time zones.
