Job Description
"As a member of the Electronics Hardware team, you will be responsible for hands-on design and development, architecting, lab testing, and troubleshooting electronics circuits and systems. You will join a team dedicated to raising the standards for electronics systems and contribute to their continuous improvement. Responsibilities:- Design and development of digital and analog electronics for control of high power electronics systems, BMS meant for Automotive applications.
- Start to finish ownership of control boards and other electronics from specification to design, prototype, and manufacturing.
- Collaborative work with mechanical, digital control, thermal design, and manufacturing test engineers.
- Product level electrical design including simulation, component selection, circuit design/analysis and insulation coordination.
Requirements
- 6+ years of demonstrated successful experience in electrical engineering within a product design and manufacturing environment
- Automotive electronics design know-how amp; understanding of AIS/IS0/IEC Standards
- Start to finish ownership of control boards and other electronics from specification to architecture, design, prototype, and manufacturing.
- Experience with high current power semiconductor selection (IGBTs, MOSFET’s, and Diodes), gate drive and protection circuit design.
- Hands-on experience with schematic capture and power converter circuit simulation tools.
- Experience with Altium Designer for Schematic amp; PCB layout design
- Exceptionally strong skills in selection and application of DSPs, microcontrollers, and programmable logic devices and their peripheral circuitry (signal conditioning, board-level power supplies) in advanced electronics
- Independently drive design, implementation and supervision of circuit design and PCB layout for EMI/EMC compliance/optimization
- Knowledge in environmental, reliability, and safety requirements for electronics components
- Hands on with performing DFMEA, FMEDA, Reliability analysis, Worst Case Analysis (WCA), Component Stress analysis
- Experience in designing and supervising circuit design and PCB layout for EMI/EMC compliance independently with little to no supervision
- Experience with EBOM estimation, optimization/alternates and value engineering
- Fluent in English, ability to communicate with foreign teammates
- Mentor and collaborate junior hardware engineers and peers to multiply your impact in the team and company
- Strong collaboration and interfacing skills with cross functional project teams.
Requirements (Nice to Have):
- Embedded programming of DSPs and FPGAs in real-time control applications is highly valuable
- Experience with Battery Management Systems
Qualifications:- BS, MS in EEE/ECE (IIT/BITS/International preferred) or the equivalent in experience with evidence of exceptional ability.
