About the role:
As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be working on the full cycle of automated testing: understanding requirements; creating a test strategy; designing test scripts; executing tests scripts; maintaining test scripts and expanding automation framework on our windows application product using cutting edge tools and technologies. The ideal candidate is a team player who has extensive experience in automation tools, scripting language and an eagerness to challenge our product.
What You Will Do
• Understanding requirements and use cases for automation
• Plan and design test scripts using .NET/C#
• Integrate scripts to run within CI/CD infra
• Run automation using Ranorex or equivalent tool and publish reports
• Debug and fix automation failures
• Expand test suites to maximize automation on the given product
• Develop Unit and Integration tests as required
• Ensure on time delivery of scripts developed amp; tested.
• Manual test software as and when required
• Participate and update in daily scrum meetings
• Work closely with the Manual test teams, domain developers to ensure that scripts developed for intend specification is covered
• Self-organise and fit into an agile software development process
Your skills:
• Strong knowledge of C#/.NET programming language
• Experience in Test scripts design and maintenance.
• Experience using repository/test management software like GIT, Jira, Redmine, X-Ray tools or equivalent.
• Experience in Automation scripts integration with CI/CD using Jenkins or equivalent.
• can write, follow and if necessary, alter pre-made test procedures.
• Have a demonstrable understanding of modern software development methodologies.
• Have experience in STLC and Defects life cycle. • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
• Experience in testing embedded systems and firmware.
• Life Science domain knowledge
• Scripting language like Python, JavaScript, Perl or equivalent
• Basic understanding of Cloud platforms GCP, AWS or Azure • Have ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board), BCS (British Computer Society) or equivalent experience.
• Have demonstrated proposals and implementation of trending testing methodologies/tools
