Infotel UK is currently looking for a skilled Backbone.js Developer to join our team. As a Backbone.js Developer, you will be responsible for developing client-side applications using the Backbone.js framework. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create robust and scalable web applications that provide an exceptional user experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing client-side applications using the Backbone.js framework.
- Designing and implementing scalable, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Collaborating with UI/UX designers to transform design wireframes and mockups into responsive and interactive web applications.
- Optimizing application performance for maximum speed and scalability.
- Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members.
- Integrating frontend components with server-side logic in collaboration with backend developers.
- Staying up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in frontend development.
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues to ensure flawless application functionality.
- Contributing to architectural decisions and technical design discussions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience working as a Frontend Developer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Extensive hands-on experience with the Backbone.js framework and its ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
- Familiarity with frontend build tools such as Webpack, Grunt, or Gulp.
- Knowledge of browser compatibility issues and responsive design principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other frontend frameworks/libraries such as React.js or AngularJS.
- Knowledge of backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Ruby on Rails.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks/tools such as Jasmine, Mocha, or Jest.
- Understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
