Project Specialist for Novo Nordisk Foundation’s India office
We are looking for a Project Specialist to assist with our grant activities in India. In this role, you will be supporting our growing portfolio in India within innovation, human health and sustainability, in line with the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s 2030 Strategy. You will also support the flagship programme, Partnership for Education of Health Professionals (PEP).
The PEP programme serves the health equity agenda by strengthening institutional capacity for improved education of health professionals, with a focus on strengthening the prevention of and care for cardiometabolic diseases (CMDs) in vulnerable and underserved populations.
Our NNF India office in Delhi was opened in 2023 to service grant making and partnering to support increased India activities. Located at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi’s Research amp; Innovation Park, the office consists of a small team working within PEP along with an Office Lead sharing their time between India and the Foundation’s headquarters in Denmark.

The job
As Project Specialist you will be responsible for supporting projects with our partners in India and take part in shaping a broader portfolio for our activities in the country. Your key tasks will be to:
You will be part of a team of 20 colleagues working for the Novo Nordisk Foundation within the Social amp; Humanitarian Programme Area and report to the Director of Global Health, who oversees the NNF India branch office. You will be based in New Delhi, India; however, frequent primarily domestic travel will be required. We strive to work in person daily.
Professional and personal qualifications
We are looking for a project specialist with high motivation to contribute to the impact of Novo Nordisk Foundation grants. We expect that you have 4-6 years of relevant experience from project coordination and project support preferably from the Indian public or private sector, academia, hospitals, NGOs, or philanthropic foundations. Ideally you have a strong network within these areas and understand how to drive and coordinate multi-partner projects to high impact and visibility.
