The objective of this position is to support the Senior Specialist, Compensation, and Benefits in fulfilling corresponding activities of compensation and benefits research, analysis, job evaluation and talent management support, HR data management and system support.

The position will be based in New Delhi, India.

Specific duties:

  • In coordination with the Senior Specialist, Compensation, and benefits, provide analysis and recommendations to HR Management, including detailed cost analysis, monitoring of the salary mass, benchmarks and market specific compensation and benefits practices, as part of the total compensation strategies.
  • Support the salary review process, including augmentation mechanisms, Camp;B practices by country/staff category, and update the process as needed.
  • Provide guidance to maintain current Camp;B practices within market trends and desired position by suggesting solutions that include hypothetical scenarios and models to explore new possibilities and ensure CIMMYT's competitive advantage in personnel and employee development positions.
  • Collaborate with other HR functions to establish Camp;B practices that are aligned Talent Management strategies. Actively contribute to their definition.
  • Support the development and proposal of compensation and benefit schemes, including salary scales and benefit levels in all CIMMYT country and regional offices by analyzing and interpreting survey results, including non-financial benefits, ad hoc reviews to ensure that Camp;B elements are aligned with CIMMYT's strategy.
  • Conduct the job evaluation process by collecting and analyzing job requirements to support personnel management strategies, internal mobility, promotions, and reclassifications, in compliance with HR policies.
  • Support to HR management and HR administrative teams to decide on salary offers, internal mobility process, career, and talent management processes. Support the annual performance review as required.
  • Create and update jobs and positions in the ERP (Dynamics HRM) and manage the Compensation and Benefits sections, including ensuring accuracy in the organizational hierarchy by linking with the different teams or HR administrative programs.
  • Contribute to prepare reports and presentations on all Camp;B-related topics by gathering information related to the preparation of a relevant communication to Staff members, the Management Committee, the Executive Committee and Board meetings.
  • Prepare and propose simplified ways to organize data, streamlining jobs and job families, and other catalogues (education grade, job type) that could improve processes.
  • Support HR teams in consolidating data into important reports/presentations, supporting the maintenance of data integrity through tracking, testing, and auditing to ensure consistency of HR data, etc.
  • Provide metrics; update and develop KPIs as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Administration, Human Resources, International Relations, or similar field.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience including past 5 years in Compensation and Benefits Management including with experience in strategic Camp;B design, KPI and metrics management, data and HRIS project management experience. Preferably at a regional, if not global level.
  • Advanced level of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). Experience with MS Dynamics is desirable.
  • Fluent and effective communication skills in English at all levels both internally and externally on the full range of work-related activities.
  • The selected candidate must exhibit the following competencies: Client orientation, Communication, Problem Solving, Teamwork, and Multicultural Awareness.

The position is for an initial fixed term of twelve (12) months, after which further employment is subject to performance and the continued availability of funds. CIMMYT offers a competitive salary and benefits.
