Wizcom, a leading provider of portable text-to-speech technology, is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join the team. Our mission.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines and workflows.
Develop and maintain advanced data integration and ETL processes.
Uphold the highest standards of data quality and reliability across all data systems.
Optimise data storage and retrieval processes for efficient analysis and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and provide innovative solutions.
Implement robust data governance and security practices.
Conduct sophisticated data analysis, modeling, and visualisation to drive business intelligence and inform decision-making.
Stay at the forefront of industry trends and advancements in data engineering, incorporating emerging technologies as appropriate.
Requirements
- Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a preference for candidates with experience in a senior or lead role.
- Expertise in SQL and experience with a range of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python.
- Familiarity with data integration, ETL tools, and cloud platforms (especially Google Cloud Platform).
- In-depth knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
