Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this role is to generate increased sales volumes by ensuring all enquiries, leads and development opportunities are maximized through making appointments for field based field sales colleagues and selling over the telephone where appropriate, along with servicing a set amount of existing clientele telephonically, thereby ensuring an excellent sales experience for all existing and potential customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and always acts with customers in mind, meeting their expectations and requirements.
  • Establishes and details customers’ needs, competently demonstrates the benefits of RI's products and services and responds appropriately to a customer’s requirements
  • Coordinating the sales team by managing schedules, filing important documents and communicating relevant information
  • Responding to complaints from customers and give after-sales support when requested
  • Assist with answering sales related calls and doing the relevant follow ups/requests as required
  • Contacting customers by phone or email to answer queries and obtain missing information.
  • Following up on outstanding quotations by contacting customers by phone or emails and making the relevant appointments for the sales team
  • Assist with Tender/RFQ documentation management, ensuring all supporting documentation are up to date, assist with pricing as required and that tenders are submitted accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Preparation of quotation and contracts as required
  • Provide support to marketing with sales promotions, competitors promotions and social media coordination in addition to but is not limited to contacting customers via phone or email
  • Assist with cold callings and customer call backs as required
  • Assist with compilation of competitive analysis data on a continual basis
  • Assist with creation of reports from SOLO and iCABS as required
  • Keeps up to date with business financials, products and services and those of our competitors.
  • Identifies and qualifies opportunities to sell new products or services and passes these to the appropriate salesperson where appropriate.
  • Uses the sales tools in line with the agreed sales process to maintain and develop pipeline and customer information.
  • Attends team meetings and completes sales activity reports accurately and on time.
  • To increase the productivity of the field sales colleague to help achieve their sales target to ensure that all enquiries and leads are qualified and followed up.
  • To assist the field sales colleague to manage their time effectively by ensuring Google calendar is maximised, up to date and accurate at all times.
  • To make quality appointments for the field sales colleague from enquiries, leads and other sales opportunities.
  • To identify and make outbound calls to potential customers to make sales appointments for field sales colleagues.
  • Ensure all sales data and relevant records are kept up to date.
  • To demonstrate ethical sales behaviour at all times, respecting the diversity of all colleagues/customers.
  • Supporting the sales department with other administrative tasks, if requested.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • An associate’s or bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, or a related field preferred.
  • 2 - 3 years experience in sales support administration, or similar.
  • Experience with sales industry software like salesforce and client relationship management (CRM) systems, or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of administrative recordkeeping practices.
  • Familiarity with sales contracts and agreements.
  • Working knowledge of managing budgets and keeping track of sales commissions.
  • Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as customer service skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proactive approach toward problem-solving.
