Our Product amp; Engineering teams build and deploy software products for a wide range of financial market clients with a primary focus on the fund data value chain. Our agile teams come together as global solution providers using the latest tools and innovative techniques.
As a Senior PHP Developer, you will be mainly focused on both developing new features and maintenance of existing architecture. Our Cashcalc application is fully functional however requires someone who can understand code quickly in order to enhance existing features.
This role requires a lot of learning about the business domain, financial models and tax which can be quite demanding but an exciting challenge!
Your key responsibilities as a Senior PHP Developer will be to:
- Collaborate with the Technical Lead and other developers in building anddelivering the product roadmap.
- Responsible for designing and developing web-based applications andintegrating with related backend systems.
- Assist with technical direction to the team and be a key contributor to ProductDevelopment and Release Cycles.
- Assist with maintaining the overall architecture for allsystems/programs/initiatives.
- Implement object-oriented design principles andpatterns.
- Develop highly performant, scalable amp; secureapplications.
- Be involved in defining and applying development best practices in alargedistributed development team.
- Help to build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Help to ensure a high standard of work through code reviews, coaching andmanagement. Help set and enforce quality standards and best practiceswithin the team.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to otherdevelopers.
- Implement and help determine strategies on how to reduce technicaldebt.
- Assist with monitoring alerting systems and managing systemalerts.
- Assist with infrastructure upgrades amp; change control ofinfrastructure.
- Remain knowledgeable of current technology and carry out research toidentify new trends that can be used to achieve maximumresults.
To join us as a Senior PHP Developer you will need the following experience and skills:
- You must have 7+ years of experience and excellent knowledge of PHP.
- You must have 7+ years of experience with PHP MVC frameworks, ideally Laravel.
- You must have 7+years experiencein web technologies including JSON/XML,WebAPIs,RESTful APIs.
- You must have 6+ years of experience with relational databases,e.g.MySQL.
- You must have 7+ years of experience and strong understanding of HTML, CSS andJavaScript.
- You must have good communication skills in English.
- You must have problem solving skills acquired through exposure to working in industry with PHP.
- You will be enthusiastic, energetic, bringing innovation and creativity to the team!
- You will ideally have knowledge of DevOps and Open AI.
