DemandTec team, part of Acoustic, is looking for a dynamic Lead Front End Developer. This position is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional Software Engineering teams to deliver quality solutions. The candidate should possess strong communication and collaboration skills in agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation built on modern development methodologies (TDD, BDD, Kanban/Agile). The DemandTec Engineering team is a highly innovative Agile / DevOps team working on an exclusively Cloud / SAAS Platform.
Responsibilities:
- Work across multiple scrum teams to lead and mentor front end and full stack developers on front end-oriented tasks
- Provide guidance/training on coding standards, best practices, and troubleshooting for front end development
- Collaborate with UX designers to ensure that wireframes / mockups can be readily translated into responsive, interactive web applications
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance Engineers to help develop and evolve frameworks for automated front end testing.
- Design and write test automation scripts
- Lead front end code reviews
- Work with the product and support organizations to troubleshoot and respond to customer reported issues
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks. 3+ years of experience w/ React preferred
- Knowledge of JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and Bootstrap
- Experience working in cross-functional Agile engineering teams
- Ability to solve complex challenges/problems and rapidly deliver innovative solutions
- Experience with using Git, GitHub, and an IDE for development work
- Experience with UI automation frameworks and testing business APIs (SOAP/REST)
- Experience with globalization and accessibility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or another related technical field with three (5) years of experience preferred
