We are seeking a WordPress Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the color and font choices, and so on). The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with the responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred. Also, an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain New WordPress-based websites, plugins, themes, and custom functionality.
- Customize existing themes and plugins or develop new ones based on project requirements.
- Website Design and Optimization:
- Design and implement responsive and user-friendly website layouts using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript while ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
- Optimize website performance, speed, and SEO best practices for improved user experience and search engine rankings.
- Content Management and Updates:
- Manage content, updates, and modifications on WordPress websites, ensuring accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Implement content changes, images, and multimedia elements as needed.
- Security and Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain website security, perform regular backups, and apply updates to WordPress core, themes, and plugins to ensure site stability and security.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with designers, UX/UI teams, and other developers to deliver projects efficiently and effectively.
- Communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders as required.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3-4 years of experience in WordPress development, with a strong portfolio demonstrating WordPress projects and customizations.
- Proficiency in WordPress CMS, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and MySQL.
- Solid understanding of responsive web design principles, SEO, and web performance optimization.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and familiarity with web hosting environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
