As our Associate Director of Taxation amp; Controllership, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the organization's taxation strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and managing controllership functions. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of taxation, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies for all entities aligned with the organization's goals.
- Provide strategic guidance on the tax implications of business initiatives and transactions. Keeping the leadership aware of the implications of various direct and indirect tax laws on business decisions.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of all federal, state, and local tax returns as part of International taxation applicable for US based group companies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations - computation, deposit, returns, assessments and appeals
- Dealing with tax authorities by making representations
- Collaborate with external tax advisors to address complex tax issues.
- Manage international tax matters, including transfer pricing, international taxation to optimize the organization's global tax position.
- Stay informed about international tax developments and their impact on the business.
- Serve as the primary liaison with tax authorities during audits and inquiries.
- Develop and implement strategies for successful resolution of tax-related issues.
- Provide leadership in financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Should have exposure of IND AS amp; IFRS reporting requirements
- Collaborate with executive leadership on financial strategy and decision-making.
- Establish and maintain a robust system of internal controls over financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with business units to achieve financial objectives.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Lead and mentor a team of taxation and controllership professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification required.
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in taxation amp; controllership, with focus on leadership roles.
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
