Role:
Rystad Energy is looking for enthusiastic individuals to strengthen our database team. As a database developer, you will assist our product teams in realizing new products and improvements and enable our consulting teams to make project data deliveries. You will be building data processing pipelines to transform data according to business logic into a data warehouse for BI purposes.
We are looking for a candidate with master/bachelor (or similar) within Computer science-related topics and who is enthusiastic about databases and has a "can-do" attitude. The company is growing and we are strengthening our India developer team join us helping the world navigate the energy transition!
Main tasks will be:
• Organize research data by best database practices for scalability
• Build data processing pipelines applying business logic
• Create cubes, optimize stored procedure for performance, facilitate data deliveries, maintain databases
• Create system value by adding supporting tools and technologies that can enhance our productivity
• Learn and develop new ideas to pave the path for our technology roadmap
Requirements
Desired Qualifications:
• 2 - 8 years of experience
• Love to work with data and transform it for business needs
• Evaluate business needs and objectives
• Analyze and organize raw data
• Build, monitor, and optimize processing pipelines
• Build and improve data systems
• Organize research data by best database practices
• Knowledge of RDBMS (Microsoft SQL Server or similar)
• T-SQL or similar database programming Language knowledge.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, and strong multi-tasker.
• Good English skills, both verbal and written
Additional qualifications that are desirable:
• Data warehouse, preferably experience with cloud-based data warehouse
• ETL/ELT development
• Data analysis, data integration, data visualization
• Experience with BI tools and development of user-friendly analysis and reports
• Cloud database technologies knowledge and how they work
• Data delivery experience to clients
• Microsoft Analysis services, Microsoft Integration services, Power BI
• Python, R, Powershell or other programming languages
