What do we need?
We are looking out for a talented ETL Developer/Data Engineer to join our growing team. As an ETL Developer/Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure. You will work cross-functionally to automate processes, improve system reliability, and scale our platform. In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your technical expertise to help us accomplish our mission to partner with our clients and meet their needs in the most innovative way possible.
Responsibilities
As an ETL Developer/ Data Engineer responsible for maintaining a data lake, your key responsibilities would include:
- Data Pipeline Development: Proficiency in designing, building, and maintaining efficient and scalable data pipelines that extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into storage and processing systems.
- Data Modeling: Creation of data warehouses, data marts, and dimensional models to support reporting and analytics.
- Data Integration: Integrating data from multiple sources- databases, APIs, external services, and more for maintaining accurate and up-to-date data.
- Data Quality and Governance: Implementing processes and checks to ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy throughout the data pipeline.
- Database Management: Experience in selecting, setting up, and managing databases and data storage systems that align with the organization's needs.
- Performance Optimization: Monitoring and optimizing the performance of data pipelines and databases to ensure efficient data processing and retrieval.
- Scalability and Reliability: Designing systems that can handle growing volumes of data and user activity.
- Automation: Developing and implementing automation processes for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translating them into effective data solutions.
- Security and Privacy: Implementing security measures to protect sensitive data, adhering to data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and ensuring secure data transmission and storage.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Proven experience as an ETL Developer or a similar role.
- Hands on experience in a proven ETL tool.
- Languages Python, PL/SQL
- Experience in Data Warehousing tools-Teradata / Redshift / Snowflake
- Strong knowledge of Data Modelling and Architecture
- Trained in usage of cloud platforms such as AWS and S3
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
